Lanek | Practice software for Irish accounting firms

Product

Built around the Irish calendar. Checked before it goes.

Every screen in Lanek exists because a real Irish filing needed it. Here is each one.

01

The worklist

Every obligation, every client, by deadline or by person.

Where the day is spent. Every filing moves from started to prepared, approved and filed, with markers for late, due soon, blocked and waiting on the client. Filter by person, deadline or marker. Keyboard-first for people who live in lists.

02

The calendar does itself

Deadlines generated from the rulebook, not typed in.

Obligations are generated for every client: VAT, CT1, Form 11, B1 annual returns, PAYE, RBO, first-period dates and extensions. No recurring jobs to set up. The calendar runs on your practice's own time zone.

03

The client record

Dates, officers, registry details and history in one record.

One record per company, sole trader or partnership: dates, addresses, officers, registry details, obligations, documents, fees, messages and history. Lanek checks every company against the CRO register each day and flags any difference from your record. It never overwrites what you hold.

Lanek pre-filing review with sample data: a supplier invoice entered twice, with the ledger line behind itSample data

04

Checked before it goes

Findings cite the ledger rows behind them.

Before a return is approved it's reviewed against the synced ledger rows, and every finding shows its evidence. Agree, fix or dismiss with a one-key reason; a standing answer stops the same question coming back. You also see what was checked and found clean.

05

VAT, filed your way

Figures, a Revenue upload file, or direct submission.

Figures only, or a VAT3 upload file for ROS at the final step. Direct submission as your agent is coming; the file format has been accepted by Revenue's test service.

Partial: direct submission coming

Lanek VAT3 return with sample data: the figures frozen as sent and the client's approval on recordSample data
Lanek quote with sample data: services, prices and cadence, with the terms that travel into the engagement letterSample data

06

From lead to engaged client

Quotes, letters, e-signature and onboarding in one flow.

Quotes with a fee schedule and volume band, engagement letters from your own template, e-signature, onboarding. Bring existing clients in by form or spreadsheet, fees included.

07

Clients kept in the loop

Approval by email from a secure single-use link.

Clients approve figures by email, receive a monthly digest, and get messages sent from your practice's own domain, one to one or to a group.

08

Fees and invoicing

Fee book, reviews and invoicing, or keep your own.

Fee book, arrears, fee reviews, bulk re-quotes by volume band, and native invoicing with credit notes, or keep invoicing in your own software. Fees are visible to owners, managers and finance only, by default.

09

Document intake

Drop in what clients send; it's sorted.

Drop in what clients send and it's filed to the right client and category. Every piece of email with a client is logged against their record.

10

Practice control

Who sees what, set once by role.

Roles and an access matrix, outside preparers who see only their assigned work, a setup checklist on first login and a wall board for the office screen with no money on it.

Lanek access settings with sample data: each role, and what it may see and doSample data
Lanek dashboard with sample data: what is going to bite this weekSample data

11

Sits on your books

Reads Xero and Sage, QuickBooks coming. Never writes.

Xero, Sage Accounting or a file upload, including a Sage 50 or spreadsheet trial balance; QuickBooks Online is coming. Lanek reads; it never writes to your ledger. Payroll stays in your payroll software; the monthly PAYE return sits in the calendar.

12

Your data, out when you want it

Every list will export. So will the whole practice.

Everything Lanek holds about your practice is yours. You will be able to export any list as a spreadsheet, and export the whole practice as one pack: clients, obligations, filings, fees, findings and history. Use it for your own reporting, your own analysis, or to leave.
