Why Lanek
Drawn to one place.
Laniakea is the home of our galaxy, mapped by the pull that draws everything toward one centre. Lanek is where every client, every deadline and every filing is drawn to one place.
01
What is Laniakea?
Laniakea is the supercluster of galaxies our own Milky Way belongs to: around 100,000 galaxies spread across some 520 million light-years. Astronomers mapped and named it in 2014. The name is Hawaiian for "immeasurable heaven".
02
The idea
Astronomers did not draw Laniakea by its size. They drew it by where everything moves, toward one centre that holds it together. For us that centre is the practice, and what holds it there is a short set of principles we don't bend.
03
Four principles
One place for each thing.
Every client, date, document and fee lives once, in one record. Change it there and it changes everywhere, so nobody keys the same thing twice.
Checked before it goes.
Every return is reviewed against the books before approval, and every finding shows the ledger rows behind it. Then a person with the right role signs it off, every time.
Flexibility.
No two practices run the same way. Lanek follows your roles, your order of work and your way of checking, instead of asking you to rebuild the practice around the software.
Only what's necessary.
No badges, no clutter, no modules you'll never open. Lanek asks for what the work needs and speaks up only when a date is close or a figure doesn't match.
04
What we won't do
No chatbot bolted on: the help lives inside the work.
No paid add-ons: every feature is in the subscription, and you pay per client only for the work you run.
No renewal surprises.
Nothing filed without a person signing it off.
No lock-in: your data exports in full, any day.
